WIthout being too spoilery I thought the bit towards the end (with the sleigh being too heavy) was a bit needless and distracted from the cosiness of the rest of the book, but still I imagine it will be a Christmas classic :)Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10375123875102906267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735223299018836451.post-32837948021143099032016-11-20T21:42:37.580+00:002016-11-20T21:42:37.580+00:00Everything about you is an absolute pleasure. (Maybe because I was a bit distracted during the first half when the only 'Dorte' mentioned was her aunt and I kept thinking but the main character is supposed to be called Dorte, not the aunt - then of course I realised they had the same name!). I do love a bit of minimalist style and this delivered on that front, but I think it was a bit 'style' over 'substance'Vikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08039838691449950827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7735223299018836451.post-23811360214919860542014-12-03T16:53:03.082+00:002014-12-03T16:53:03.082+00:00The book is set on a African ( Nigerian )village l...The book is set on a African ( Nigerian )village life .<br />Gives a good idea about how a primitive society changes with time .
